Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is proud to support the community where we live and work. Each year we donate beer to numerous nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area as part of their fundraising endeavors. If you represent a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization and would like to receive a "beer" donation for an event in the San Francisco Bay Area, you're welcome to submit a request. Please note that a beer donation from Speakeasy does not serve as an endorsement of an organizations values or worldview. Speakeasy remains neutral in regards to politics and religion.
PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR REQUEST
Speakeasy can only donate beer to CA nonprofits that have acquired a Type 221 daily license from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).
If your event is being held at a bar, restaurant, or any other venue that currently holds a CA ABC license to serve alcohol, their license will need to be suspended for the duration of the event in order for Speakeasy to donate beer.
A valid non-profit tax ID # (EIN) must be submitted with your donation request. Please verify the status of your tax ID number here. Invalid numbers will result in a donation decline.
If your donation request is approved, we will need a copy of the Type 221 license 48 hours before you pick up the beer. No license, no beer.
Donation requests must be made by a representative of the benefiting nonprofit or else the request will be declined.
Due to the number of donation requests, budgetary, and beer quantity restrictions, Speakeasy can’t approve every donation request.
Speakeasy will determine which beer(s) will be provided and the total quantity.
All donations must be picked up at our San Francisco warehouse M-F (10-3 pm).
Speakeasy does not provide monetary donations, engage in charity sponsorships, and due to CA ABC regulations, can’t donate gift certificates or merchandise for event raffles or auctions.
